Medicine and Surgery
The Medicine and Surgery Degree Programme, taught entirely in English, has been developed within the clinical and research environment of IRCCS Neuromed (Istituto di Ricovero e Cura a Carattere Scientifico), a research hospital recognised by the Italian Ministry of Health.
Course Overview
The single-cycle Master's Degree program in Medicine and Surgery (LM-41), taught entirely in English, trains physicians with solid scientific, clinical, and professional skills to work in the fields of prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation. The program integrates education, research, and clinical practice, with a particular focus on neuroscience, precision medicine, digital health, and technological innovation, facilitated by the collaboration with IRCCS Neuromed.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the programme, graduates will be able to:
- Apply sound scientific, clinical and professional knowledge and skills in prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and health promotion
- Adopt an interdisciplinary and person-centred clinical approach grounded in evidence-based medicine and integrating biomedical and biopsychosocial perspectives
- Apply knowledge and skills in biomedical technologies, precision medicine, neuroscience, bioinformatics and artificial intelligence to medical practice
- Exercise independent clinical judgement and professional responsibility, work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and engage in lifelong learning
