Materials Science

Presentation of the Course

The Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science trains professionals with an interdisciplinary background in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and engineering, capable of understanding, designing, and characterizing materials used in key technological and industrial sectors. The programme explores metallic, ceramic, polymeric, composite, nanomaterial, and biomaterial materials, with a particular focus on biomedical and sustainable applications. Through laboratories, experimental activities, and modeling and data science tools, students acquire practical skills in the synthesis, analysis, and development of innovative materials. The programme prepares students both for entry into the world of work in industry and research, and for continuing their studies with master's degrees and specialized programmes.
